Through genetic engineering it's possible to extend human life span to 300 years. The likely scenarios?
1) Can you imagine facing the same spouse for 250 years and still in love? If on average a marriage lasts 50 years, everybody would marry 5 times. For some, maybe 10 or 20 times.
2) A 150 year old man may one day have a fight with somebody, only to find out later the other guy is his 50 year old grand grand grandson.
3) A person may have 10 or more different careers in his entire life: being a chef for 25 years, then going back to school for 5 years, then becoming a stock market analyst for 20 years, back to school, then a businessman, on and on, a painter, lawyer, carpenter...
4) ...
5) ...
6) ...
Perspectives, expectations, values, social structures..., all would change. It'll be a totally different world.
