"The Sound of Music", the 5-Oscar movie of how a girl with wicked childhood grew up to a fine woman, is one of my favorite movies.
The story happened in late 1930s before Nazi occupied Austria. Young Fraulien Maria, confused and thought destined to be a nun, checked in an abbey. But the abbess thought not Maria belong to there. She sent Maria out to be the governess of von Trapp family. Through music, Maria reconnected the widowed father Captain von Trapp and his children. Winning the hearts of children and love of Captain, Maria married him.
My point, however, is on neither Maria nor the von Trapps; instead, is on Herr Zeller, the Nazi collaborator. Because of Herr Zeller, Austria lost its freedom to Nazi, though the von Trapps luckly escaped to Switzerland.
We are facing many Herr Zellers in Taiwan today. We must either fight the Herr Zellers or become the next Austria, because there s no Switzerland but Pacific Ocean in sight.
