According to my friend who just got back from Beijing that China imposed a new drinking and driving law. (not sure if applies to the whole nation or just Beijing). if your Blood Alcohol Content is greater than 0, you will get a fine for RMB 1500 and lose your drive license for a year. You will go to jail for 6 months plus a RMB5000 fine if get DWI, plus you automatically lose your job if you are a government worker.
If Commie can do it, why can't Taiwan do it? The answer is that Taiwan emphasizes on human right. - Drunk drivers human right.
This law ain't gonna happen in US. If so, 30% of my IT coworkers need to call cap to get home everyday.
